🧰 Prerequisites: Prepare Your Drawing

To ensure accurate results, the drawing must follow a simple layer standard:

  • Survey Boundaries → Plot layer

  • Elevations (Text / Points) → Elev layer

  • Plot Numbers → Plot_Number layer

Also, make sure the drawing is created in a proper UTM coordinate system.

🌐 Set Coordinate Parameters

Type SDS at the AutoCAD command prompt and set the following project parameters:

  • Datum (Example: WGS84)

  • Hemisphere (Northern / Southern)

  • Zone (Example: Zone 43)

These settings are critical for accurate conversion between UTM coordinates and Latitude–Longitude values.

▶️ Run the Application

Load the application Export_Elevation.FAS using the APPLOAD command.

Select the survey boundaries from which you want to extract elevation information.

The program automatically analyzes each selected boundary:

  • ✅ If only one Plot Number exists inside the boundary → all elevations are extracted

  • ❌ If more than one Plot Number exists → data is ignored

  • ❌ If no Plot Number exists → data is ignored

  • Serial Number

  • UTM Coordinates (X, Y)

  • Latitude & Longitude in Decimal Degrees
