Wrong Distance in AutoCAD? Fix DIST Command Z Elevation Issue
DIST Command AutoCAD showing wrong distance AutoCAD values? This happens due to Z elevation AutoCAD issues.
In this AutoCAD tip, learn how to fix DIST command errors caused by different Z levels instantly.
Sometimes DIST measures true 3D distance when points have different Z elevations.
Select the objects and use the CHANGE command.
Open Properties, find Elevation, and set the value to 0.
This flattens objects to the same plane so DIST shows the correct 2D distance.
