AutoCAD: Find Overlapping Text Fast (Draworder + Quick Select Trick)
AutoCAD find overlapping text is the fastest way to bring hidden labels back on top of your drawing.
In this AutoCAD DRAWORDER bring to front and Quick Select text workflow, you’ll see exactly how to reveal buried text and annotations in seconds.
Text getting buried under lines, hatches, or other objects? Use the DRAWORDER → Bring to Front trick: simply select all your TEXT and MTEXT and bring them to the front so anything hidden behind geometry instantly pops into view.
Still can’t find where the text is overlapping? Turn on Quick Select, filter for Text and Mtext, and isolate them in the current space. Once everything else is dimmed or hidden, any text overlapping polylines, hatches, or blocks becomes obvious.
You can also use a temporary color strategy: set text to a bright, high-contrast color so overlaps stand out immediately against your background and linework.
This combination of DRAWORDER, Quick Select, and smart color use helps you spot every hidden label with no more endless zooming and panning.
If you struggle with hidden text in AutoCAD, try this method once and you’ll clean up your drawings much faster.
